ZINES! ZINES! ZINES! ZINES! ZINES! ZINES! ZINES! ZINES! ZINES! ZINES! ZINES! ZINES! ZINES! ZINES!

A zine is a teeny tiny homemade artisan small batch rustic little printed treat. By nature they’re cheap to make and their little imperfections are why I like them so much! Even indie comics have rules and expectations, but at a zine fest I can staple a tea bag to a pile of scrap pages and trade it for drawings from strangers. It’s a pretty sweet deal! I make these things pretty frequently because they’re a real hoot and give me excuses to travel! I have tabled at NOCAZ in 2017 and Denver Zine Fest & San Diego Zinefest in 2018. :~)

Also, it’s pronounced Zine, like magazine. I don’t know where and why people started assuming it was pronounced zyyne. My guess is maybe that’s how the “zines” that are actually 50$ polished, kickstarted anthologies are pronounced.

THE GIANT RAT'S ZIBLIOGRAPHY

NEXT BIG THING CH#0: AND WE’RE LIVE! (2018)

A fullcolor print version of the first chapter of my webcomic. A duo of kid psychics, separated by fate, totally don’t see swiping into each other on Gr*ndr coming.

Beer & Chocolate Milk (2018)

Vibrantly colored surrealist zine about a rat king’s self-proclaimed leader trying to figure out which tail is really “theirs”

Soup Would Never Do This To Me & Going Gayly Forward
(2018)

A duo of character exploration comics before launching my webcomic, both about trying to have just, like, a regular-ass day. The first is about running errands and getting into fights online, and the second is about intrusive thoughts and navigating well-intentioned microaggressions. Black and white.

Ten (2018)

Undertale fanzine, but just barely, exploring the moral grayness of the concept of “No One Dies” domestic AU’s. A decade after their miraculous revival, royal twenty-somethings Chara and Asirel experience some emotions. Black and white.

*content warning for death, ableism, sickness, and suicide

both / neither (2017)

A dreamy, noisy, full-color zine about dissonance, growing up, trauma, and a cute little dog that was cooked to death in orbit. Has a little foldy outy thingy in it.

*content warning for animal death, allusions to abuse, and blood

Fond (2017)

A cookbook/zine/collaboritive charity project/absolute unit. Spanning over a hundred pages, this bad boy has over 30 contributors inside it, supplying readers with a wealth of recipes portrayed in everything from comics to cross-stitch. All profits go to Feeding America, with over 300$ donated so far. Up-to-date donation info can be found here.

Donut Hole (2017)

A classic, single-page folded zine talking about the therapeutic potential of hypnotherapy and deep trance. Folds out into an induction module.

Caiman (2017)

A series of autobio comics about closure. Everyone is a lizard, which made me feel a lot less shy while drawing it! Black and white.
